These performance measures provide information that pertains to conservation
actions and provide for revisions to these actions if needed. The conservation action and proposed plans for GCN species and habitat monitoring occurs with help from several partners. These partners include but are not limited to the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, the United States Geological Survey, the United States Army, the United States Department of Agriculture, the United States Forest Service, the Federal Highway Administration, the Great Lakes Fishery Commission, the National Park
Service and the National Resources Conservation Service. Other partners are the Valparaiso Chain of Lakes Watershed Group, the Wabash River Heritage Corridor Commission, Partners in Flight, the North American Waterfowl Management Program and the North American Amphibian Monitoring Plan. Also included in this partner list is the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, the Indiana Department of Transportation, Indiana universities, the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns, the Indiana Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts, the Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center, the Northwest Indiana Regional Planning Commission and the St. Joseph County Soil and Conservation District.
