These partners include the Bureau of Land Management, Onyx, United States Geological Survey, California Department of Fish and Game, Mojave Water Agency, The Nature Conservancy, the Department of Defense, the Department of Interior, California State University, Chares Corporation, Center for Biodiversity, National Park Service, Center for Natural Lands Management, the University of California, Salton Sea Authority, Audubon California, Defenders of Wildlife, National Parks Conservation Association, California Wilderness Coalition, California Department of Water Resources, Desert Wildlife Unlimited, New River Wetlands Construction, Environmental Defense, Mojave Desert Land Trust, Marine Corps Base, California State Coastal Conservancy, the Conservation Biology Institute, Wild Farms Alliance, Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, Earth System Science an Policy Institute, Klamath Bird Observatory, Green diamond Resource Company, Humboldt State University, Point Reyes Bird Observatory and the California Energy Commission. Revision of the conservation plans will take place as needed or new conservation plans will be put into action, depending on the finding of the reviews and reassessments of the GCN species and key habitats. The Colorado Comprehensive Wildlife Conservation Strategy is scheduled to be updated every 10 years
with the first one beginning in 2005.
