. where is CSI: Omaha? Of course, the popularity of forensic science is warranted, seeing how forensics uses the latest in technology and biology to bring criminals to justice and solve crimes. But did you ever think about using forensic science to fight crimes against animals? This is where my interest lies. A relatively new and increasingly important application of forensic science is Wildlife Forensics, in which scientific principles are used to fight crimes against wildlife victims. Various crimes against animals include illegal hunting out of season, trade of wildlife body parts, and illegal poaching of endangered species.
